Honors Information

Timeline for Honors Process at Cope Middle School Spring 2010

March 29, 2010: Applications for 2010-2011 Honors classes will be available at the website or at the Student Center.
April 9, 2010: Completed applications are due to the counseling center by 4:00 pm., must be signed by parent!
April 14, 2010: 8:45 a.m., Writing Placement Test (only for students applying to English 7 or 8 Honors) in the Multipurpose Room
June 14, 2010: Notification letters mailed home to parents.

ROAR READING LOG IS DUE Tuesday, April 27, 2010.

Periods 4, 5 and 6 need 250 pages for each due date. Periods 1 and 2 need 375 pages for each due date.

Grades

Grades are now available on the Parent Portal web site. I update grades about every other week. If your child thinks he/she turned in an assignment and they did not get credit, please have them check the NO NAME PILE. There are many nameless papers in there waiting to be claimed. https://parents.redlandsusd.net/

Do you need help with math or English? The Peer Tutoring Network is now open from Monday through Thursday, from 3:20 to 4:00. If math is a struggle for you and you want someone to explain it, or if you need help writing or proofreading for English, then come on over to the library and meet with student tutors who can help you.
